How it works

The program’s own rules, as Catalyst runs them.

Choose a squat, push-up, lunge or dip variation and suitable equipment. Pick the starting count, N, and alternate the descending high count with the ascending low count for N sets in total. Walk 8 feet between sets, with no walk after the last. Use a full range of motion and a pace you can manage; there is no required finish time. Counts are total reps. For lunges, choose the side order without doubling the count. Choose the variation and starting count again for each later workout. Train on days you choose; there is no fixed weekly frequency or automatic progression.

What you need

No equipment needed.
