How it works

The program’s own rules, as Catalyst runs them.

Plan the workouts across days one through eighty-three, with their changing spacing and taper, starting day one on Monday. Choose each training weight for your own plan before lifting rather than scaling example pound weights. Before any overload work, get a complete protocol that specifies whether to hold, lift with assistance or perform reps; day eighty also needs a complete protocol. Use assistance to address your weaknesses early on. During acceleration work, lift as fast as you can while keeping good technique. Stop all assistance after day fifty-nine and do only the three main lifts. In days sixty-six through seventy-six, keep perfect form and accelerate maximally; do not take singles or attempt weights you are not sure you could lift for two reps. Plan three meet singles for each lift.
